Hi Prasad,

I am sorry, I am not answering your question but considering your query, here is what I have to say;

I have never given any of my many iPod’s to a service guy for software upgrade, things are pretty straight forward with iTunes, I suggest, use iTunes and record the error and google it.

I am sure you will get your answers in forums etc.
